Annual Evaluation and Performance Measurement Report (I.8- N. GONORRHOEAE WHOLE GENOME SEQUENCING (WGS)

Annually, each funded laboratory is required to report to CDC evaluation and performance measures. Data are used to indicate progress made toward program outcomes. These summary reports have to be uploaded to the ELC CAMP at the end of each funding year. Required performance measures are listed below.



  1. Total number of GC isolates selected for WGS.

  1. Proportion of viable isolates for which WGS was performed successfully within 1 month of antibiotic susceptibility testing.


  1. Numerator: Number of genomes successfully sequenced within one month of AST completion.

  2. Denominator: Total number of GC isolates with AST data selected for WGS for the year.

  3. Calculated: Monthly percentage of viable isolates for which WGS was performed successfully within 1 month of antibiotic susceptibility testing


  1. Number of laboratory staff personnel trained to proficiency to perform GC WGS.
