The National Historical Publications
and Records Commission provides funding to nonprofit organizations
and institutions, state and local government agencies, federally
acknowledged or state-recognized Native American tribes or groups,
and individuals for projects relating to records that further an
understanding and appreciation of American history. Information
from applicants in the budget and grant offer acknowledgment forms
is needed in order for applicants to be eligible for consideration
and provide a basis for determining whether a grant should be
awarded. Applicants must also acknowledge the offer of the grant
and agree to meet requirements of applicable Federal regulations.
Additionally, they must verify the existence of an indirect cost
agreement with a cognizant Federal agency if they are claiming
indirect costs in the project's budget.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
