The Consumer Expenditure Survey collects information
on spending for housing, groceries, health care,
transportation, and more. It is used to help
compute the Consumer Price Index, a key
measure of the economy.
THE CONSUMER EXPENDITURE SURVEY
gathers facts and figures used to study spending
trends and measure inflation. The data are used
in studies of family expenditures.
