The forms are used to collect vital safety information such as the geographic position of the aid, as well as the characteristic of the aid, the light signal, and other related safety information. 14 U.S.C. 81, 14 U.S.C. 83, and 43 U.S.C. 1333 are the statutory authorities for this collection.
