This page reflects an individual’s mySSA
landing page, where individuals see all their
information after logging in.

To designate a representative payee in
advance, an individual would select the
“Access Advance Designation of
Representative Payee” link.

Upon an individual selecting the Advance
Designation of Representative Payee section,
the individual will be shown this introductory
page, which will now include the Privacy Act
Statement.

The reading of the Privacy Act statement (PAS) is covered in
the current overall public burden on the form. The proposed
change from a separate click through page, as previously
submitted, to inclusion in an already existing page, as shown
here, will have a positive effect on the currently calculated
public burden as persons will now have one less page/click
pass through in the process. Including the PAS on an existing
page, rather than on its own separate click through page, will
ensure the customer experience is more streamlined and fluid
with fewer screens and clicks, while still ensuring the PAS is
visible for full transparency with the public.

This page appears after the individual selects “Continue
to Advance Designation” and can make their selection.
The rest of the pathing continues as previously
submitted.
