groundfish fisheries.
The manager of a shoreside processor must record information onto the out-of-state landing report for each groundfish
delivery (other than IFQ sablefish) provided by the operator of a catcher vessel, the operator or manager of an associated
buying station, and from processors for reprocessing or rehandling product into eLandings or other NMFS-approved
software.
In addition, the manager must record discard or disposition of fish that occurred on and was reported by a catcher vessel;
that occurred on and was reported by a buying station; and that occurred prior to, during, and/or after production of

could not conduct this information collection. Public reporting for this information collection is estimated to be approximately 20 minutes per
response, including the time for reviewing instructions, searching existing data sources, gathering and maintaining the data needed, and completing
and reviewing the information collection. All responses to this information collection required to obtain or retain benefits and to manage commercial
fishing effort under 50 CFR part 679 and under section 402(a) of the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act (16 U.S.C.
1801, et seq.). Send comments regarding this burden estimate or any other aspect of this information collection, including suggestions for reducing

PRIVACY ACT STATEMENT
Authority: The collection of this information is authorized under the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, 16 U.S.C 1801
et seq.
Purpose: In order to manage U.S. fisheries, the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) requires the use of registrations by participants in the
United States. Fishery landing, production, and logbook information is collected electronically in the Interagency Electronic Reporting System
(IERS). The IERS is a web based application that provides registered fishing industry participants with a consolidated method for submitting fishery
landing report and production data, reduces redundant reporting to multiple management agencies, and allows processors to import and export their
data facilitating one-time data entry for users. The IERS registration and submission of data is necessary in order to provide real-time harvest data
and manage commercial fisheries in Alaska.
Routine Uses: The Department will use this information to identify fishery participants and evaluate the qualifications of the applicants. Disclosure
of this information is permitted under the Privacy Act of 1974 (5 U.S.C. Section 552a), to be shared within NMFS offices, in order to coordinate
monitoring and management of sustainability of fisheries and protected resources, as well as with the applicable State or Regional Marine Fisheries
Commissions and International Organizations. Disclosure of this information is also subject to all of the published routine uses as identified in the
Privacy Act System of Records Notice COMMERCE/NOAA-6, Fishermen’s Statistical Data.
Disclosure: Furnishing this information is required to obtain or retain benefits. Failure to provide complete and accurate information may result in a
penalty or loss of benefits.
