The application received comment lo4-j3ok-e8ik in response to the 60-Day Federal
Register Notice published September 27, 2024.
VA-2023-VACO-0002-0195 – We appreciate the commentor’s concerns and suggestions.
The VA Caregiver Support Program (CSP) responds as follows:

Comment: Discrepancies in suffix inclusion between the 10-10CG, CARMA, and
CPRS create rework tasks for PCAFC staff which delay application processing.
Response: Concur. CSP is aware of this issue and is adding a suffix field to the
Veteran and Family Caregiver sections to alleviate the problem.
Comment: The mandated field that relates to the primary caregiver's healthcare
coverage status is, at best, too small, and at worst, unnecessary.
Response: Concur. CSP is aware of this issue and is removing this field to
alleviate the problem.
Comment: There should be a way to amend the document (any portion of it) after
final dispositioning.
Response: This comment refers to how forms are processed following
submission and is not affected by what is contained on the form itself. It is
therefore outside the scope of this notice of renewal. However, CSP appreciates
this feedback and will consider it as we strive to continuously improve our
program and processes.
