IMLS is requesting the approval of the
Notice of Funding Opportunities instructions for these grant
programs. The goals of Museum Grants for African American History
and Culture (AAHC) are to support projects that improve the
operations, care of collections, and development of professional
management at African American museums. The goal of Native
American/Native Hawaiian Museum Services (NANH) grants is to
support Indian tribes and organizations that primarily serve and
represent Native Hawaiians. They are intended to provide
opportunities to sustain heritage, culture, and knowledge through
strengthened activities in areas such as exhibitions, educational
services and programming, professional development, and collections
stewardship. This action is to renew the forms and instructions for
the Notice of Funding Opportunities for the next three years. In
this clearance submission (3137-0095) and justification, IMLS is
requesting approval of non-substantive changes to a previously
approved clearance for the FY2024 Museum Grants for African
American History and Culture and Native American/Native Hawaiian
Museum Services Program, both discretionary grant programs that
support the Nation’s museums.
Number of response, hours and
cost increase in the past 3 years.
