This application is used by States to
request funds to administer the Independent Living Services for
Older Individuals Who Are Blind (IL-OIB) program. The IL-OIB
program is provided under Title VII, Chapter 2, Section 752 of the
Rehabilitation Act of 1973 (Rehabilitation Act), as amended by
Title IV of the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), to
assist individuals who are age 55 or older whose significant visual
impairment makes competitive integrated employment difficult to
attain, but for whom independent living goals are
feasible.
RSA has determined that the
application only needs to be submitted once unless there is a
change in the DSA. The annual burden has been adjusted to reflect
submission every three years, as opposed to annually.
