Subject: ACTION: Policy Pulse Survey for 2023
Policy Team:
I am inviting you to participate in the 2023 Policy Pulse Survey, which is open starting today through XXXXX. The survey can be accessed at the following weblink:
https://apps.policy.osd.mil/Surveys/Pages/Pulse-Survey-2022.aspx
This survey is generally deployed annually to measure participants’ opinions, perceptions, and sentiments relating to the following topics: Personal Factors; Office Factors; Policy Factors; and Leadership Factors. The Pulse Survey provides me and other Policy leaders a snapshot to get a sense of how you are doing personally, your office work environment, your perspectives on how you feel Policy is doing, and your assessment of how Policy leadership is doing. The last two surveys were conducted in April 2020 and April 2022.
The Policy Pulse Survey consists of 27 close-ended questions and six free response questions, and should take you less than 15 minutes to complete. All responses are anonymous. The survey utilizes a Likert rating scale, which asks you to indicate your level of agreement or disagreement with a given statement, ranging across the following: 1) Strongly Disagree; 2) Disagree; 3) Not Enough Information; 4) Agree; and 5) Strongly Agree.
All members of the Policy team may participate: DoD civilians (career and political); military members; Intergovernmental Personnel Act (IPA); details from other departments and agencies; Boren Fellows/McCain Fellows/Presidential Management Fellows (PMFs)/interns; and contractors. Since our Defense Agencies and Field Activities (DAFAs) conduct their own workforce surveys, DAFA Members may not participate in this survey.
I strongly encourage each of you to take the few minutes necessary to provide your Policy leadership your feedback!
Best,
CK
