Dear SIPP Household,
On behalf of the U.S. Census Bureau, I thank you for your participation in the Survey of Income and
Program Participation (SIPP). We realize that your household has given much of your valuable time
toward the collection of the survey data, and we sincerely appreciate your help. The accuracy of the
data and success of the survey are only possible through the dedicated participation of you and others
like you.
We are using the information from this survey to better understand and evaluate the economic status
of people living in the United States, especially how things change over time. Policymakers are using the
