Informed Consent

You are being invited to participate in a research study. Your participation in this study is completely voluntary. We will keep all information provided to us confidential and will not share any identifying information with anyone outside of the Department of Defense (DOD) and the American Red Cross (ARC). The DOD and ARC are jointly conducting a three-year Network of Support Pilot Program to determine how to help extended family members and friends of service members better understand military life.


This study will help the DOD and ARC understand the reach of the American Red Cross Hero care network and the effectiveness of the information disseminated through the DOD Military OneSource Friends & Family Connection eNewsletter to provide a greater understanding of military life, military career progression and resources available to service members and their families at various stages of military life.”
