Enclosed is your Monthly Cold Storage questionnaire. Please
complete the questionnaire at your earliest convenience, via
internet if possible, to avoid receiving follow-up contacts. Your
information is important. We need your help to ensure the
amount of food in warehouses is accounted for in the report.

How will the data be used?
The Monthly Cold Storage Report will ensure that accurate,
reliable data are provided to your industry. The benefit of you
reporting your cold storage data is so buyers and sellers will
have equal access to cold storage food supply information. In
addition, true pricing can be established when actual
commodity supplies are known. Lastly, the latest cold storage
report will be available, if needed, in the event of a national
emergency.

Online at agcounts.usda.gov beginning
on Thursday, January 27, 2022. Online
reporting is fast, convenient, and
secure. All you need is the
12-digit survey code on the enclosed
form to begin.
By mail or fax. Complete the survey
and return it in the return envelope
provided or fax it to (855) 271-9801.

If we do not hear from you by Wednesday, February 09, 2022, we will contact you to arrange a telephone interview.
Individual responses to this survey will be kept confidential and survey results will be available in aggregate form only,
ensuring that no individual operation or producer can be identified, as required by federal law. We will publish the survey
findings in the Cold Storage report on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.
