Main Avenue, one of Gotham's major commercial cooridors which runs throughout the Promise Zone, was designated as a "Great Street," by the State Department of Transportation. As part of this designation, Gotham DOT will receive $1,500,000 to engage in strategic planning, community engagement and streetscape improvements to create a more vibrant commercial cooridor. Several Promise Zone partners were engaged in putting together the Great Streets application and will play a vitally important role in supporting planning efforts. |
