The Federal Trade Commission requests
renewed clearance of the information collection provisions
associated with its Information Furnishers Rule which implements
section 312 of the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of
2003 and Title X of the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer
Protection Act and its shared enforcement of the CFPB's Regulation
V (Subpart E).

The FTC’s burden estimates have
adjusted downward due to a reduction in the estimated number of
information furnishers subject to the Rule from 7210 (2019) down to
6385 (2022). Thus, estimated annual burden hours went from 17,055
(2019) down to 15,405 (2022). Annual labor costs went from $878,307
in 2019 down to $858,754 in 2022.
