ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2021

























Thank you for your interest in the ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2021 program for residential windows and sliding glass doors (SGD)!

To have your products recognized as Most Efficient 2021, please complete both pages of this application according to the instructions.

The recognition criteria for Most Efficient 2021 are as follows:









Climate Zone U-factor SHGC Performance Grade







Northern ≤ 0.20 ≥ 0.20 ≥ 15







North-Central ≤ 0.40







South-Central ≤ 0.25







Southern ≤ 0.25




















Products must also meet the general ENERGY STAR requirements for installation instructions and air leakage ratings in order to be recognized as Most Efficient 2021. For more information on the current ENERGY STAR specification, visit www.energystar.gov/windows. To get started, click on the tabs below to navigate through the 1) Contact Information and 2) Product Line worksheets.

Once you have filled in all of the required information, e-mail this file and NAFS test report cover page(s) as attachments to windows@energystar.gov.
To facilitate processing, please name this Excel worksheet using the following format:
ME2021_Manufacturer Name_MM-DD-YY.xlsx After your application has been processed, EPA will confirm your recognition and provide the ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2021 designation and usage guidelines. Your recognized product line information will be displayed at www.energystar.gov/mostefficient.

Partners have the option of creating an ENERGY STAR Most Efficient web page. The web page address will be listed on EPA's ENERGY STAR Most Efficient website along with the partner's recognized products. To be eligible, the partner's page must:

- Display the Most Efficient 2021 logo
- Provide a list of the product lines that are recognized as Most Efficient 2021
- Provide a description of the features of those product lines or links to such descriptions
- Provide a link back to (or reference) the EPA ENERGY STAR Most Efficient website:
(www.energystar.gov/mostefficient)

If a partner's Most Efficient web page has not been created at the time of application, partners may provide the web page address to EPA at a later date by emailing windows@energystar.gov.

Instructions:
For each product line that you wish to have recognized as ENERGY STAR Most Efficient 2021, please enter the following required information into the table below:

- The product line name. (Please give the name that is used in consumer-facing materials.)
- The product line NFRC CPD number. (For example, ABC-Z-15.)
- The operator type. (See the list of types to the right.) If a product line has multiple operator types list each variation on a separate row with the same product line name and CPD number.
- The frame material. (See the list of materials to the right.) If a product line has multiple frame materials, list each variation on a separate row with the same product line name and CPD number.
- The ranges of U-Factor and SHGC of the eligible products options for each variation. (If there is only one possible value, enter it for both minimum and maximum.)
- The climate zones in which the eligible product options qualify for ENERGY STAR Most Efficient. (Select YES or NO for each.)
- The NAFS-certified performance grade for each variation. Please remember to provide documentation of the NAFS performance grade with your application.
