This request is for a revision and
extension of a currently approved information collection. Initial
vessel permits, initial operator permits, initial dealer permits,
vessel permit renewals, operator permit renewals, dealer permit
renewals, Letter of Authorization (LOA), and gillnet tag
certificates have been moved to an online system (FishOnline) and
paper versions have been removed. Postage costs for associated
permit renewals and LOA have been removed as a result of this
change. Email and account information requirements have been added
for the above applications. Also, automatic VMS polling has been
removed from this collection as there is no burden on the vessel
captain or crew for this activity.
