The proposed requirements implement
section 10(a) of the Pallone-Thune Telephone Robocall Abuse
Criminal Enforcement and Deterrence Act (TRACED Act), which
requires the Commission to establish a streamlined process for
private entities to submit information about robocall or caller ID
spoofing violations. The Commission will create an online portal
located on the FCC website where private entities can submit
information. A private entity is any entity other than an
individual natural person or a public entity. This information will
be used in the Commission's robocall enforcement and mitigation
efforts.
The Commission is reporting
program changes/increases to this new information collection. These
increases to the total number of respondents of +50, total annual
responses of +50 and total annual burden hours of +50 will be added
to OMB’s Active Inventory.
