Official Logbooks identify particulars
of the voyage of a vessel, including the vessel's name, official
number, port of registry, tonnage, name of the master and crew,
nature of the voyage, vessel's draft, drills and inspections, and
maintenance of water tight integrity. Logbooks are used by the
Coast Guard and shipping companies. 46 U.S.C. 11301, 11302, 11303,
and 11304 are the authorities for this collections.
