USCIS is dividing the IC burden between paper filing and online filing instruments. There is a decrease in the estimated annual hour burden to respondents for this information collection. USCIS estimates that filing online will take about 30 minutes less per response than filing on paper, which reduces the total annual hour burden by 392 hours. There is no change to the estimated annual cost burden to respondents for this information collection. The total annual cost is now divided between respondents who choose to file on paper and respondents who choose to file online.
