The survey produces estimates of
revenue and expenses, and for selected industries: products,
inventories, and revenue from exported services. Data is collected
from businesses or other for-profit organizations, not-for-profit
institutions, and government hospitals in the United States. These
data are needed for national income accounting, productivity, and
price measurement. The data also provides a sound statistical basis
for the formation of policy by various governmental agencies. The
program addresses the highest priority needs of multiple Federal
agencies and private users.
The 3-year burden hour estimate
is 3,548 hours more than the burden hours for the previously
approved SAS. This small increase is due to the increase in
estimated reporting units from the previously approved SAS.
