Section 12314 of the Agricultural Act
of 2014 established in the Treasury the "Pima Agriculture Cotton
Trust Fund" to be used for the purpose of reducing the injury to
domestic manufacturers resulting from U.S. import tariffs on cotton
fabric that are higher than U.S. import tariffs on certain apparel
articles made of cotton fabric. Claimants must submit an affidavit
certifying that they meet the requirements specified in the
Act.
The number of respondents
increased from seven to nine after FAS re-evaluated the number of
firms eligible to apply. The hours for each response were reduced
from two hours to one hour. Firms have worked with FAS for several
years and are able to complete the required information collections
in less time.
