To gather information in order to
provide eligible producers and landowners cost-share incentives,
technical assistance, and to capture Adjusted Gross Income
information through several conservation and environmental
programs.
US Code:
16 USC 2201-2205 Name of Law: Agricultural Credit Act of
1978
The annual number of responses
is now 425,445, and the burden hours is now 49,385. The number of
respondents stayed the same at 140,000. Activity related to ECP
request, approvals, and payments has increased due to major storm
systems that caused catastrophic damage across the nation, from
2018–2020. Hurricane Michael and Florence occurred in 2018,
followed by the Midwest flooding’s in 2019. Multiple hurricanes and
wildfires in 2020 all contribute to the increase in activity. Those
increased activities caused the number of respondents increased by
126,197. The burden hours decreased by 21,950 due the activity
related to BCAP has drastically reduced because of the lack of
funding for BCAP. The travel times also have been removed from the
request so the burden hours decreased by 6.428.
