The purpose of this data collection is to evaluate the effectiveness and cost benefit of the North American Fatigue Management Program (NAFMP) in increasing opportunities for sleep, proactive sleep-related work/personal behaviors, objective measures of sleep, and positive familial interactions. Fatigue management will also be assessed in terms of reduced missed work days, drowsiness while driving, and driving performance. Information will be collected from two commercial vehicle carriers and from a convenience sample of 180 (90 regional and 90 long-haul) commercial truck drivers employed by those carriers.
