The Plant Variety Protection Act
provides for the issuance of intellectual property protection on
novel varieties of seed reproduced crops. Information collected
provides expert examiners in the PVPO a basis for issuing or
denying a certificate of protection.
The Justification for Change is
to address 8 new crops that have been added to this collection.
There is an increase of 1,173 responses and an increase of 1,488
burden hours to the currently approved collection due to the
addition of these new crops..
