The Adoptive Family Relief Act allows
for the waiver or refund certain immigrant visa fees for a lawfully
adopted child. This collection will gather information to determine
the extra fees these families have paid in order to refund
them.

The Department expect workload
to be much lower than when the form was first implemented. The
majority of people eligible for a waiver or refund of immigrant
visa fees, in accordance with the guidelines of the Adoptive Family
Relief Act, have already submitted a DS-7781, and their refunds
have been processed.
