This information collection describes
the minimum information collection activities required for
preventing the introduction and spread of Tilapia Lake Virus into
the United States.
Approval to collect this
information is needed immediately to protect North American
aquaculture from the introduction or spread of the Tilapia Lake
Virus (TiLV) which causes high mortality in susceptible fish.

APHIS published an emergency
Federal Order to prevent the entry or introduction of Tilapia Lake
Virus (TiLV) into the United States by restricting import shipments
of all live fish, fertilized eggs and gametes from Tilapia Lake
Virus (TiLV)–susceptible species. Information collection activities
related to enforcing this Federal Order include 114 responses from
57 respondents, totaling 96 hours of burden.
