The information in 34 CFR Sections
600.54, 600.55, 600.56, and 600.57 is used by the Department during
the initial review for eligibility certification, recertification
and annual evaluations. These regulations help to ensure that all
foreign institutions participating in the Title IV, HEA programs
are meeting the minimum participation standards.
This information collection
filing is an adjustment to the current burden assessment. The
increase in the burden hours identified here is due to the increase
in the number of students who may be attending foreign medical
schools and subject to§600.55(d).
