This form is an application that, when
completed and officially approved by PM/DDTC, Department of State,
constitutes the official record and authorization for all
classified commercial defense trade transactions, pursuant to the
Arms Export Control Act and the International Traffic in Arms
Regulations.
EO: EO
11958 Name/Subject of EO: Administration of arms export
controls
US Code: 22
USC 2778 Name of Law: Section 38 of the Arms Export Control
Act
The number of respondents has
been adjusted from 153, the previously estimated number of
registrants who export or temporarily import classified defense
articles, to 100, the most recent estimate, adjusting the total
annual responses from 530 to 419. As a result, the total annual
hours requested for this collection has been adjusted from 265 to
210. The revised respondent number is a more accurate figure taken
directly from the DDTC database, while the reduced number of
license applications accords with the decrease in defense trade
licensing.
