The information collected through the
Interagency Guidance is needed by national banks and Federal
savings associations (FSAs) to manage their asset securitization
activities in a safe and sound manner. The OCC uses the information
to evaluate the quality of a national bank's or FSA's risk
management practices and to assist national banks and FSAs lacking
proper supervision of their asset securitization activities with
the implementation of corrective action to ensure that these
activities are conducted in a safe and sound manner.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
