Who must comply?

Coast Guard dependents interested in applying for the Coast Guard Exchange System Scholarship.


What is this collection about?

The collection of the information is used to verify the applicant’s eligibility and evaluate their academic achievements and accomplishments as well as participation and leadership in school oriented and community volunteer activities in order to rank them and award scholarships to the top three applicants.

When must information be submitted to the Coast Guard?

The deadline for submission is 28 February of each year.


How is the information submitted?

In writing or electronically via e-mail. Information may be submitted to the CGES Scholarship Committee, c/o CG CSC, 510 Independence Parkway, Suite 500, Chesapeake, Virginia 23320 or electronically to Candice.A.Harrison@uscg.mil


What happens when complete information is received?

The CG reviews the information for eligibility and completeness. Applicants meeting the criteria outlined in COMDTINST 1780.1 (series) have all identifying information redacted prior to being reviewed and ranked by the Scholarship Committee.
