The Industry Classification Report
collects information on businesses to obtain proper industry
classification. This information is used to update the sampling
frame for the 2017 Economic Census and other current business
surveys. In fiscal years 2016 and 2017, the Census Bureau will
contact 125,000 establishments that have been assigned a partial
NAICS code from administrative records to determine a complete
industry classification.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
