The FCC adopted allocation and service
rules for the 698-746 MHz spectrum band, which was reallocated
pursuant to statutory requirements, in order to support the
development of new services in the Lower 700 MHz Band while still
protecting television operations that continue to occupy the band
throughout the transition to digital television.
