Recruiting Email

Dear EFNEP participant,

We are contacting you today to invite you to participate in an NC State University study on cooking and kitchen activities. We are interested in recruiting participants who are at least 18 years old and are primary food preparers in their household.

The study takes place in Raleigh on the NC State University campus and we are looking for interested participants to prepare a meal in our model kitchens just like they would in their own home. The goal of this research is to help us understand more about cooking practices and to evaluate recipes. While study participants’ actions will be recorded for later analysis, everything that is collected, including your participation, will remain confidential.

If you are eligible for the study, you will receive $75 and a free gift for taking part in the 2-hour study.

Please reply to this email message or contact Katrina Levine (observationstudy@ncsu.edu or 919-515-1788) if you are interested in taking part in this study. We will contact you with additional details. Or, you can go to the study web site to see if you are eligible go.ncsu.edu/kitchenstudy.

Thank you so much for your time and consideration. We hope to hear back from you soon.

Best regards,

Benjamin Chapman, PhD

Associate Professor
