years. As terms of clearance, when the Agency submits a request for
renewal, it must include evidence of consultation with the public
on the sample compliance report to ensure, among other things, that

This ICR addresses the information
requirements in the Final rule for ELGs for the Dental Category.
EPA is finalizing standards under the Clean Water Act for
discharges of pollutants into publicly owned treatment works
(POTWs) from certain dental practices that involve the discharge of
amalgam. The rule would require affected dentists to control
mercury discharges based on amalgam separators and best management
practices. EPA is also amending selected parts of the General
Pretreatment Regulations to streamline oversight requirements for
the dental sector. Dentists will be required to provide a one-time
certification. Control Authorities will receive and keep these
records.
This is a new ICR that covers
the information requirements in the final rule for ELGs for the
Dental Category.
