Under 18 USC 925, 26 USC 5844 and 22
USC 2778, ATF requires members of the Armed Forces to complete ATF
F 6 Part II. The collection is needed to determine whether
firearms, ammunition and implements of war are eligible for
importation into the United States. The information is used to
secure authorization to import such articles.
The Program Office adjusted the
number of annual responses and annual burden estimates for this
collection, in order to correct erroneous amounts reported on
previous collection renewals. The annual cost burden for half of
the estimated respondents was slightly increased to $157.00, since
the majority of the forms are submitted by regular mail.
On behalf of this Federal agency, I certify that
the collection of information encompassed by this request complies
with 5 CFR 1320.9 and the related provisions of 5 CFR
1320.8(b)(3).
