General Certifications
TEFL Teaching Certificate
Please note that this certificate is only available to Volunteers who served in qualifying countries.

Presidential Completion of Service Certificate
Please note that you should receive this certificate shortly after your close of service. Please only submit the requeset
if you have not received it, or would like to request another copy.

Certifications that do not include your Social Security Number
This certification verifies dates and country of service, but does not include Readjustment Allowance (RA) amount. If
RA is needed, please request a Certification for Credit Towards Retirement below.

Certification of Service for Credit Towards Retirement
This credit applies to federal and some state or local governments.

Certification of Noncompetitive Eligibility
Can only send if it is less than 3 years from your COS date.

Teaching Certification of Volunteer Service
Can only send if your primary assignmnet was classroom teaching of host country national children, and you served
for at least 18 months, training time included.

Description of Service
Can only provide a copy; cannot send an original DOS. If you COS’d within the last 90 days, you will need to wait for
your original DOS to be sent to you from post. If you haven’t received your DOS from post, contac them to ensure
they have your correct address to mail/email it to you.

Certifications that include your Social Security Number
These Certifications below contain a portion or all of your Social Security Number. You will need to check the box
below to give us permission to include your SSN. These certifications will not be emailed.

Certification of elegibility for Partial Perkins Student Loan Cancellation
You must have a Perkins loan and have served at least a year (training time included)

Public Student Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) and/or Proof of Income for an Income-Driven Replayment Plan.
Before you request Certification for PSLF, first call FedLoan Servicing at (855) 265-4038 to see if and how you can
qualify. NOTE: According to the Department of Education, Returned Volunteers can make a payment to your lender
within 6 months of receiving your RA to credit some of your service towards PSLF.

Certificate of Creditable Health Insurance Coverage

We generally do not email certifications or DOS’s. We will be sending the certification to the following address:

about Peace Corps experiences. The program maintains a database of RPCVs who have agreed to
speak about their Peace Corps service. If a school or other civic group contacts us looking for an

signed up with the program. The group then contacts the RPCV directly to request a speaking
