Listed below are seven options reflecting law school grading systems. Please review all seven before answering
to ensure you select the most appropriate option.

If you listed a specific class rank by percentile on the Legal Education screen, select 'Not Applicable' at the
bottom of the screen.

If you did not list a specific class rank by percentile on the Legal Education screen (e.g., you attend a law school
that does not rank in percentiles or your law school partially ranks by percentile but you are not a ranked
student), then you must choose the option that most accurately describes your law school's grading system and
select the button that reflects your grade range/academic performance in law school.
Using the "Not Applicable" button: You must select a measurable level of academic performance in one of the
seven grading system options unless you previously entered a specific class rank by percentile. If you select an
incorrect option from among the seven types of grading systems listed below, you may select "Not Applicable" to
undo your entry and then select the correct option. You may not list "Not Applicable" for all seven grading
systems unless you previously listed a specific class rank by percentile. Failure to list either class rank by
percentile or a measurable level of academic achievement will constitute an incomplete application and result in
disqualification.
My law school grades on an expanded 4.0 scale (i.e., 4.3 = A+ or highest grade) and my cumulative GPA is:
3.77 or higher and all my grades meet the requirements to pass.
3.4 or higher and all my grades meet the requirements to pass.
Below 3.4 or not all my grades meet the requirements to pass.
My law school grades on a 4.0 scale (i.e., 4.0 = A or highest grade) and my cumulative GPA is:
3.5 or higher and all my grades meet the requirements to pass.
3.2 or higher and all my grades meet the requirements to pass.
Below 3.2 or not all my grades meet the requirements to pass.
My law school grades in an Honors, Pass, Low/Marginal/Substandard Pass, Fail system and:
50% or more of my grades are Honors and I have no Low Pass or Fail grades.
My grades are all Honors and Pass and I have no Low Pass or Fail grades.
All my grades meet the requirements to pass (may include Low Pass grades).
Not all my grades meet the requirements to pass.
My law school grades on a High Honors, Honors, Pass, (Low/Substandard Pass may or may not be an option)
Fail or equivalent system (i.e., Excellent, Above Average, Satisfactory, Unsatisfactory, Fail) and:
25% or more of my grades are High Honors (Excellent) and I have no Low Pass (Unsatisfactory) or Fail
grades.
My grades are all High Honors (Excellent) Honors (Above Average), and Pass (Satisfactory) and I have
no Low Pass (Unsatisfactory) or Fail grades.
All my grades meet the requirements to pass (may include Low Pass grades).
Not all my grades meet the requirement to pass.
My law school grades on a strict Pass / Fail system and:
All my grades meet the requirements to pass.
Not all my grades meet the requirement to pass.
Note: If your law school grades the first semester, first year classes pass/fail or credit/fail only, but applies a
different grading system to the second semester (e.g., Honors, Pass, Low Pass, Fail), then answer this section
based only on your second semester grades.
My law school uses a numeric grading scale with 100 as the highest possible score:
My GPA is 92 or higher and all my grades meet the requirements to pass.
My GPA is less than 92 but higher than 85 and all my grades meet the requirements to pass.
My GPA is 85 or less but 76 or higher and all my grades meet the requirements to pass.
My GPA is less than 76 or not all my grades meet the requirements to pass.

My law school uses alphabetic grades (generally A through F or equivalent) but does not use a 4.3 or 4.0 scale
and:
50% or more of my grades are in the A range, and I have no D or Failing grades.
My grades are mostly in the A and B range, and I have no D or Failing grades.
All my grades meet the requirements to pass.
Not all my grades meet the requirements to pass.
