As required by 50 CFR §300.337(d)(2), the vessel owner must confirm the enhanced mobile
transmitting unit (EMTU) operation and communications service to NMFS. This is necessary to
ensure that position reports are automatically sent to and received by NMFS Office of Law
Enforcement (OLE). Your vessel is not regarded as meeting the EMTU requirements until
connectivity with NMFS OLE is verified.
