Community TIGER E-mail Template

Dear <Name>:

Thank you for participating in the Community TIGER program. In preparation for the 2020 Census and to support the Geographic Support System Initiative (GSS-I), the U.S. Census Bureau is streamlining the data exchange process to support tribal, state, and local government partners in creating, maintaining, and managing address and geospatial data.

The Census Bureau is following-up to the e-mail in which you received login credentials to Amazon WorkSpaces. Your login credentials are now active and you can begin to use the Community TIGER tool. The Census Bureau has also provided a demonstration of the Community TIGER system, which includes the Community TIGER Partner Toolbox in the Amazon workspace, as well as the Contribution Management System (CMS).

The Amazon workspace provides partners access to ArcGIS and the Community TIGER Partner Toolbox where data is migrated, edited, and packaged for submission to the CMS. The CMS is designed for partners to have the ability to save their data, compare the Census Bureau’s representation of geospatial data to their own, as well as previous contributions, and to submit data to the Census Bureau. Address and geospatial data submitted to the Census Bureau will be integrated into MAF/TIGER, and any feedback provided will help improve future versions of Community TIGER.

Please review and use the “Community TIGER Quick Reference Guide”, “Community TIGER Presentation”, and Community TIGER User Guide for instructions on setup, Amazon WorkSpaces (including the Community TIGER Partner Toolbox), and the CMS.

The Census Bureau appreciates your participation in Community TIGER. If you need any assistance, please e-mail geo.community.tiger@census.gov or telephone 1-888-658-5580.

Thank you,

Community TIGER Team
