the TTB regulations require such approval. TTB uses the provided
information to ensure appropriate classification of distilled
spirits, wine, and malt beverages for labeling and taxation
purposes.
TTB is reporting an increase of
20,080 burden hours attributed to adjustments to this information
collection -- (1) TTB is reporting all responses as being made to
"obtain or retain a benefit" and is removing the "mandatory"
information collection instrument previously listed; (2) TTB is
adding "Formulas Online" as an information collection instrument;
and (3) TTB is reporting an increase in the number of responses and
annual burden hours due to continued growth in the number of
alcohol beverage producers regulated by TTB and continued growth in
the number of products requiring formula approval produced by those
respondents.
