E-Mail Invitation to Participate in NHLBI GHI COE Outcome Evaluation Interviews

Thank you for your dedication and contributions to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) Global Health Initiative (GHI) Centers of Excellence (COE). Although the program has ended, we are continuing our efforts to identify the impact that this unique program has had on developing sustainable research and research training capacity, and advancing information about the prevention and treatment of chronic non-communicable cardiovascular and pulmonary diseases in low and middle-income countries.

NHLBI is working with Westat, an independent research organization, to conduct an outcome evaluation of the COE program. One component of the evaluation involves conducting interviews with members of the COE program. As a key member, we are inviting you to participate in this interview, as your feedback and unique perspectives are critical to understanding the implementation and mechanisms of the program, as well as its challenges and successes. Your involvement will also help ensure that we are able to capture lessons learned from this program. Interview data will be used to inform NHLBI and NIH stakeholders about operational issues relevant to planning global and domestic biomedical research and training programs.

Information shared in the interview will be kept private to the extent provided by law. Choosing to participate or not will not affect your relationship with NHLBI or receipt of NHLBI funding. Data will be reported in the aggregate and will exclude personal identifiers.
