The Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) is a web-based data collection system
designed to collect basic data from all postsecondary institutions in the United States and the other
jurisdictions. IPEDS enables NCES to report on key dimensions of postsecondary education such as
enrollments, degrees and other awards earned, tuition and fees, average net price, student financial
aid, graduation rates, revenues and expenditures, faculty salaries, and staff employed.

Upon the end of the 2 round of the 30-day FR public comment period, NCES received 25 public
comments and prepared a response document to address them all (approved on 12/10/2013; OMB#
1850-0582 v.13). Today, it came to NCES’s attention that the regulations.gov public comment website
shows that 26 comments were in fact submitted, and so we revised the public response document to
include the 26th comment (#ED-2013-ICCD-0128-0030) and NCES’s response to it. This request is to
amend the OMB record with the final version of the “IPEDS 2013-2016 Response to 2nd Round of 30day Public Comments” document.
