Office of Transformation Coordination
Dear American Immigration Lawyers Association members,
USCIS is excited to announce that we have released the capability for our customers and your members, as legal representatives, to file a Form I-90, Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card, electronically using the USCIS Electronic Immigration System (USCIS ELIS).
Following the release of the Form I-90 in USCIS ELIS, we will turn off the existing e-filing system for Form I-90 applications. If you started a Form I-90 application in the existing e-filing system on behalf of a client, you will have 30 days to complete and submit it. If you do not submit the application within 30 days, it will be deleted. You will have the option to submit a paper Form I-90 or file a new Form I-90 electronically in USCIS ELIS after creating a representative account (if you do not already have an existing online account).
Please note: Attorneys who file a Form I-90 in USCIS ELIS for a client who needed the assistance of an interpreter, will need to have the interpreter complete and sign Part 6. Interpreter’s Contact Information, Certification, and Signature of the paper Form I-90 (12/29/2014 edition), and then scan and upload a copy of this signed page as part of the electronic I-90 filing.
We will be hosting multiple instructional webinars to give you more information. Please also see the Form I-90 web page on USCIS.gov at www.uscis.gov/I90 for additional information.
We look forward to engaging with you during these webinars.
Sincerely,
Kathleen Stanley
