The National Land Remote Sensing
Education, Outreach and Research Activity (NLRSEORA) promotes the
uses of space-based land remote sensing data and technologies
through education and outreach at the State and local level and
through university based and collaborative research projects.
Nonprofit organizations, Public and Private colleges and
universities may apply for financial support by completing forms SF
424, SF 424a and SF 424b (the paperwork burden for these forms have
been previously approved). After acceptance, progress reports
covering each year's activities and one final report at the end of
the grant period must be submitted as described in the award terms
and conditions.
The number of individuals to
submit an application has been adjusted downward from 10 applicants
to 5 applicants based on the experience gathered from previous
years. Therefore the estimated burden hours has been reduced by 120
hours.
