Parents: $30 gift in equivalent reward points (online panel company rewards participants via points that
can be converted into cash, gift cards, etc), Pediatricians: $75 gift. Focus groups are unique from other
forms of data-gathering in terms of the investment that must be made by individuals. The gifts that will be
provided will serve as a token of appreciation for attending and can result in: higher levels of engagement,
faster recruit times, fewer no-shows, long-term savings and positive associations with the study sponsor.

The overall communications effort is to provide parents and pediatricians with the necessary tools to help
inform teens on the dangers of being "on the road." This initiative will provide parents and pediatricians
with materials and guides to share vital information and help them approach the subject matter with their
teens and other parents - see Attachment A - Project Description.

Car crashes remain the number 1 killer of teens, taking 3,000 young lives every year. As we approach the
100 deadliest days (summer) 2014, we want to ramp up efforts to empower teen influencers.
