Dear Study Participant:

Thank you for your participation in the NIOSH airplane cargo baggage handling study. As shown in your reported monthly questionnaire, you have been pregnant since the last month. Because musculoskeletal symptoms are common among pregnant women, we cannot assure that your reported musculoskeletal symptoms, if any, are work-related. Work-related musculoskeletal symptoms are the main focus of the study. Therefore, we are kindly asking you to stop participating in the study. If there is any question about this decision, please contact Jack Lu,

NIOSH researcher at mlu@cdc.gov or 513-533-8158.

Sincerely,

Jack Lu, PhD, CPE
