In December 2012, the Federal Trade
Commission ("FTC" or "Commission") issued a notice of proposed
rulemaking ("NPRM") setting forth proposed changes to the FTC's
Used Car Rule (ICR Ref. No. 201206-3084-002). After reviewing the
comments, the Commission now proposes additional modifications to
the proposal made in the NPRM to address concerns raised by
commenters.
The increased estimated burden
accounts for proposed required disclosures regarding vehicle
history reports and proposed optional disclosures regarding
non-dealer warranties.
