E.O. 12656 establishes the
responsibility for Department of Health and Human Services and
Department of Defense (DoD) to take care of any American citizens
and family members that are evacuated from any country and ensure
their personel needs are met. This information collection provides
evacuee information necessary to account for any military or
civilian, regardless of nationality, evacuated from any country to
the United States. The DD Form 2585, "Repatriation Processing
Center Processing Sheet," is used to collect the necessary data
which is entered into an automated tracking system and a series of
reports is generated and made available to DoD, Federal and State
agencies, as required.
Change in burden is due to
reduction in the estimated number of respondents.
