These systems enhancements do not
affect the public reporting burden. SSA requires SSI recipients to
report changes that could affect their eligibility for and the
amount of their SSI payments, such as changes in income, resources,
and living arrangements. The SSI Telephone Wage Reporting and
Mobile Wage Reporting applications, enables SSI recipients to meet
these requirements by providing them with a fully automated
mechanism to report their monthly wages by telephone, or smart
phone application instead of contacting their local SSA field
office. The systems permit reporters to voluntarily make the wage
report by speaking their responses via phone, keying their
responses on a telephone key pad, or keying responses into smart
phone screens. We are making minor revisions to the SSIMWR screens
and the SSITWR promts. Specifically, we are making systems
enhancements to remove 6-day reporting cut-off and allow reporters
to report wages all month; other minor systems enhancements will
improve clarity and ease of use for reporters.
